Nasser Riyadh

Founder & Director

Before launching Qalam in 2020, Nasser was associate director of the Pacific Arabic language school in San Francisco.

As chief instructor there he led the Arabic department, taught intensive seminars, established Turkish and Persian programs, and developed a curriculum to simplify Standard Arabic (MSA), making it accessible and easier to learn.

At Qalam he combines this method with a dynamic teaching style, taking students from the letters of the alphabet to reading Arabic news and literature.

Nasser helps students tackle Arabic through classes that are

well-planned and structured. He is encouraging and makes learning

this difficult language both manageable and fun.
